Barn at Greenwood Wedding | Millville PA | Elivia + Connor

I love when I get to travel home to PA and shoot a wedding! On Saturday, I made my way to The Barn at Greenwood for Elivia & Connor's wedding. I know Elivia's family from high school so it was fun seeing them again! It was a very warm day for Pennsylvania, but you'd never have known it from looking at Elivia! She looked beautiful and filled with laughter the whole day. Her dress was gorgeous with long lace sleeves and a long flowing train (that she almost got rid of before her day but I'm so glad she didnt!). Roxy, her sweet dog, followed her around all day and we had to drag her out of the way of pictures most of the time haha! Connor got ready at the barn and his groomsmen made sure his uniform was perfectly ready to go. The ceremony was by the loveliest field of wildflowers and then the reception was held in the barn. Elivia shared a precious dance with her dad that made this pregnant photographer tear up! Later in the night, I swept the couple away for a few minutes of sunset photos in the wildflower field (I really just wanted to camp out and live there). Their family and friends lined up to send them off with sparklers and another perfect wedding day was complete. Congratulations Elivia & Connor! 

Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding | Charlotte NC | Anna + Greg

This wedding had me overflowing with excitement! Anna and Greg are the sweetest couple and they chose such unique and lovely things to incorporate into their day! Anna and her girls got ready at The Ivey's Hotel in uptown Charlotte. Guys, I AM IN LOVE. I want to go stay here just for fun because its a gorgeous art deco hotel that opened in April 2017. When I got to the hotel, the florist, What's Up Buttercup, was starting to put on the bridesmaid's floral tattoos! Yes, you read that right. The girls didn't carry bouquets- they had gorgeous real floral tattoos that they stuck right onto their arms! Anna carried a fantastic bouquet for the ceremony but then had her own floral tattoo to put on for the reception! (And take a look at the ceremony and reception flowers that were also to die for!) 

Anna met Greg near the hotel for a precious first look and some photos together. From there, we headed to Foundation for the Carolinas for the ceremony and reception! The ceremony space had tons of windows and natural light which always makes me so happy. Both Anna and Greg wrote sweet, emotional vows and you could feel their joy and love just bursting at the seems. Entering into the reception, they had one of the best first dances I've ever seen! After dinner, I snuck them outside onto the terrace for some alone time and sunset photos- these are my absolute favorite photos to take on a wedding day. You can see Anna's floral tattoo highlighted in them below! I have to mention here that Anna and Greg's day wouldn't have been possible without their amazing wedding planner, Amanda from Magnificent Moments Weddings. She is so sweet, always has anything you could need with her, helps her couples plan a unique and personal day, and is on top of everything! This perfectly planned wedding finished with mini pies, toasts, dancing, and an exit through cheering guests. Congratulations Anna and Greg!

Wedding at The Gathering | Allegan MI | Jacob & Melissa

I was so excited when Jacob and Melissa decided to book me to photograph their wedding! Jacob's sister is one of my closest friends so I also got to spend time with her on my trip! Jacob and Melissa got married in Grand Rapids, MI at their church and had their reception at The Gathering in Allegan, MI. The bridal party also got ready at The Gathering earlier in the day. None of Melissa's bridesmaids had seen the dress she picked so before the first look with Jacob, she did one with her girls! Melissa and Jacob's first look was so sweet and we were able to do most of their photos before the ceremony. Isn't Melissa's bouquet gorgeous!? After the ceremony, they exited out of the church while their guests threw handfuls of flower petals! The reception was filled with more greenery and peonies. One of my favorite parts of the reception was when Jacob and Melissa tricked their best man and maid of honor and smashed cupcakes in their faces! At the end of the night, they exited out through a row of sparklers and headed off to their hotel! Congratulations Jacob and Melissa!
