Rainy Romantic Wedding at Foundation for the Carolinas | Charlotte NC | Amy + Matt

My first wedding of 2019 was on Saturday! About a month and a half before Amy and Matt’s wedding day, they found out they could no longer get married at their booked venue. Amy worked through all the stress of replanning a lot of their day along with the help of Candace from Erin Padgett Events. The day came together beautifully with flowers by Vintage Soul Floral Design, delicious food from Best Impressions Catering, and Amy and Matt’s willingness to step out into the misty weather with me! Enjoy a sneak peek at their romantic wedding at Foundation for the Carolinas.

Rolling Hill Farms | Monroe NC | Heather + Matt

When I first met with Heather and Matt, we instantly connected over our love of Disney (Ironically, we both took trips there within the same week last spring)! After finding out this connection and shooting their engagement photos, I was so excited to capture their wedding at Rolling Hill Farms. Though I’ve shot here several times, it was my first one with the ceremony under the arbor. I loved the floral arrangement, by MiMi Eden Florals, around the beams and the setting sun fell right over their ceremony to light up the changing colors in the fall trees. My favorite part of the day was taking Heather and Matt to the nearby field for photos. I couldn’t stop gushing about the sunset light and how perfect they looked in it! The reception was highlighted by Duck Donuts, hilarious dances, and all of their guests singing Don’t Stop Believing (a great moment organized by DJ Jonah from Split Second Sound who did an awesome job keeping the night going). It was a great wedding to end 2018!

Bee Happy Wedding | Morning Glory Farm | Kensey + Tyler

I’m so excited to share Kensey & Tyler’s wedding at Morning Glory Farm with you! When I heard Kensey mention a honeycomb arch, I knew their day was going to be perfect and unique to them. Tyler hand-built the honeycomb arch himself and put it together on site hours before the ceremony. The gorgeous pop of bright flowers on the arch, and everywhere else, were done by Springvine Design. Isn’t Kensey’s bouquet perfect for a little bee to nestle right into?! Speaking of bees, Kensey’s adorable shoes are from Poshmark and don’t miss the little gold bees tucked into her hair along with the gold leaf ear piece. Her hair was done by Abigail Vasilchick from Ulta Beauty and her flawless makeup was done by Nina McCaskey from Wedded Kiss. I was in love with Kensey’s dress the moment I saw it! It’s an ombre blush gown from Kelly Faetanini. Over the dress, she wore the coolest leather jacket with floral details embellished on it. As you scroll, you’ll notice Kensey also has a little bumblebee tattooed on her arm. Kensey & Tyler’s dog, Nigel, got ready with the girls and was readily available to eat any crumbs left over from lunch! The bridesmaid’s velvet dark pink dresses were from Modcloth and they looked adorable with their black boots. Later on at the reception, they donned leather jackets to match with Kensey! The reception also had elements of bees, including a cake from Celestial Cakery and more of those beautiful flowers. Kensey, Tyler, and their family and friends danced out the night to a live band under strings of hanging lights. Lastly, I can’t forget to mention Beautiful Day Weddings that helped bring Kensey’s vision to life and coordinated the day so well!
