Johnson Carriage House is one of my favorite venues to shoot at. It was a rainy day and because of their multiple ceremony space options, Rachel and Kevin were still able to have a lovely ceremony without worrying about the rain. When I walked into the bridal cottage, I couldn’t believe how stunning Rachel’s dress from Anjolique Bridal was! We staged an impromptu first look with her dad, which was so sweet, and then she and Kevin had a first look before their ceremony. I was in love with the ceremony and reception decor, along with the bridesmaid’s dresses and also the flowers done by Willow Floral Boutique! The rain held off the rest of the day so we were able to finish up photos outside after the ceremony. Dinner and toasts were held in the main reception space and then everyone gathered into the next building for dancing. This was my second wedding in a row working with Quinn from Carolina DJ Professionals and she always does a great job! At the end of the night, Rachel and Kevin ran through bubbles and were driven off in a golf cart to stay the night back at the cottage on property. Congratulations Rachel and Kevin!
When it snows the week of your April wedding, you don’t know what to expect for your wedding day! Thankfully North Carolina got it’s act back together and Angela and Heath had gorgeous sunny weather for their entire wedding! The Farm at Brusharbor perfectly fit their relaxed mix of rustic and vintage details. One of my favorite things from the day was that Angela wore her mother’s wedding dress with some slight alterations to the style. They also had Angela’s garters made from parts of the dress! Angela had a sweet first look with her dad and godfather before the ceremony and then everyone made their way to the pavilion for the wedding to start. The reception took place in the barn with the doors wide open to enjoy the warm spring night. After lots of eating, laughter, and dancing, Angela and Heath ended the night with a sparkler exit. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Barkley!

My first wedding of 2019 was on Saturday! About a month and a half before Amy and Matt’s wedding day, they found out they could no longer get married at their booked venue. Amy worked through all the stress of replanning a lot of their day along with the help of Candace from Erin Padgett Events. The day came together beautifully with flowers by Vintage Soul Floral Design, delicious food from Best Impressions Catering, and Amy and Matt’s willingness to step out into the misty weather with me! Enjoy a sneak peek at their romantic wedding at Foundation for the Carolinas.
