I was so excited when Jacob and Melissa decided to book me to photograph their wedding! Jacob's sister is one of my closest friends so I also got to spend time with her on my trip! Jacob and Melissa got married in Grand Rapids, MI at their church and had their reception at The Gathering in Allegan, MI. The bridal party also got ready at The Gathering earlier in the day. None of Melissa's bridesmaids had seen the dress she picked so before the first look with Jacob, she did one with her girls! Melissa and Jacob's first look was so sweet and we were able to do most of their photos before the ceremony. Isn't Melissa's bouquet gorgeous!? After the ceremony, they exited out of the church while their guests threw handfuls of flower petals! The reception was filled with more greenery and peonies. One of my favorite parts of the reception was when Jacob and Melissa tricked their best man and maid of honor and smashed cupcakes in their faces! At the end of the night, they exited out through a row of sparklers and headed off to their hotel! Congratulations Jacob and Melissa!
