Separk Mansion Wedding | Gastonia NC | Scott & Emily

I met Scott & Emily through my husband, Joe. He and Scott worked together for awhile and all four of us met up together for the first time at one of Scott's hockey games. It's been great getting to know them better the last two years and I was so honored that they chose me to capture their wedding day! Emily got ready with her close friends at her parent's home while the guys got ready at Emily and Scott's house. Their dog Stanley was staying at Emily's parent's home too so we got a few photos of them together! Emily put her dress and final touches on at their ceremony site which was Saint Mark's Catholic Church. Isn't her dress so classic and pretty? It reminds me of Audrey Hepburn! After the ceremony, we drove over to their reception at Separk Mansion. I love the natural light and historical features of this venue! Emily chose greens and cranberry for her decor and they were a lovely addition to this beautiful reception space. Some of my favorite details they incorporated were personalized terrible towels, homemade cookies for guests to take home (including hockey themed ones), and a "flat Stanley" (a photo of their dog for their guests to take pictures with since he wasn't at the wedding)! Everyone had a great time dining and dancing to a live band and then the happy couple were chauffeured away in a vintage car. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Black!

Rolling Hills Farm | Monroe NC | Megan & James

We finally had some beautiful fall weather for Megan & James' wedding at Rolling Hills Farm! The first thing I saw when I got there were tons of white pumpkins piled up in front of the venue. These not only were adorable decoration but were the guest's favors. How cute! Megan was getting ready with her bridesmaids when I got inside and they were busy steaming dresses and finishing their hair. Meanwhile, James and the groomsmen were hanging out in another room getting dressed. Once Megan got in her dress, she did a sweet first look with her dad and then another one with James. Give me first looks all day! I also loved the stone archway where Megan & James had their ceremony set up! After a tearful ceremony, we headed down by the pasture for some last minutes of sunset photos. The reception decorations were cozy and lovely for a fall wedding and there was even a s'mores bar set up outside. Megan & James talked and danced with their friends until the night was over. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Young!
