Tandem Wedding | Carrboro NC | Pierre + Lauren

I started my day with Lauren and Pierre at UNC Chapel Hill for their first look! All the heart eyes for them! They even brought their dog Piper for some photos with them and she was as excited as could be! We explored campus for some good photo spots and got everything in before it started sprinkling rain. After that, we headed to Tandem Restaurant for their intimate ceremony and reception. Make sure to check out their “party animals” they had for each guest (including me!). The rain somehow skipped right past us except for the light sprinkle and we were able to take some more photos before the sun set. Lauren and Pierre enjoyed time with their family and close friends eating, drinking, laughing, and dancing and I’m so glad I could be a small part of it!

Penn Grove Retreat | Hanover PA | Emilie + Will

I had the honor of capturing my second cousin’s wedding on Saturday! Emilie and Will were married at Penn Grove Retreat and incorporated so many unique things into their day. Emilie’s grandmothers both passed away and a special detail she added was carrying both of their rings on her bouquet. While we were taking photos, Emilie’s family dog Tucker joined in the fun! I also loved that Will’s grandfather and Emilie’s dad officiated their ceremony. Guests walked over to a fun popcorn and ice cream reception after the ceremony! They also had board games and yard games set up around the area for their guests to enjoy. Another sweet detail was that Emilie’s cousin, Rose, made their lovely wedding cake. Finally for their exit, they chose to do smoke bombs! Not many of my couples do this and I think it’s so cool! Congratulations Emilie and Will!

Spring Country Club Wedding | Charlotte NC | Rebecca + Dan

Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel is one of my favorites for couples to get ready at in Uptown Charlotte! Rebecca and Dan were down the hall from each other getting ready with their friends. The lobby area is artistic and modern so I loved that my second shooter took the guys there for some photos! We then traveled down the street to St. Peter’s for their ceremony. The look of pure joy on their faces afterwards says it all! We stepped outside for some photos but got cut a little short by a sudden downpour of rain. Thankfully there was somewhere to duck inside! When we all met up at Providence Country Club later, the sun came out and we were able to finish up photos outside. Dan and Rebecca had a fun reception filled with hilarious and heartfelt toasts, EDM music, and glow sticks. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Pedone!
